First online car purchase at 71 — they made it painless
I'm 71 years old and this was the first car I ever bought online sight unseen. I was nervous as can be. My nephew told me about West Texas Classic Cars and said they had a good reputation so I took the leap. They walked ...

Patient with all my questions, good experience overall
Purchased a 1968 Mercury Cougar XR-7 as a project for my late husband's memory, he always wanted one. Staff was patient with me asking probably a hundred questions over the phone over a 2-month period. The car is solid, ...

West Texas Classic Cars has helped keep tractors of many generations operational by supplying parts that are hard to find. If not for our extensive inventory, many out-of-production tractors would be forced into retirement. We're happy to serve the agricultural market because we don't believe any tractor should be sidelined before its time.

First online car purchase at 71 — they made it painless

I'm 71 years old and this was the first car I ever bought online sight unseen. I was nervous as can be. My nephew told me about West Texas Classic Cars and said they had a good reputation so I took the leap. They walked me through every step on the phone (I don't do email much), the gentleman I worked with even called me back twice to make sure I understood the wire transfer process so I wouldn't get scammed. The Thunderbird arrived to my home in North Carolina last Tuesday. The driver was a polite young man who waited almost 45 minutes for my neighbor to come help me because the trailer was too big to back into my driveway. He even helped wipe the dust off the hood before he left. The car is in beautiful condition, robins egg blue, and starts on the first try every time. I cry a little every time I drive it. Thank you to everyone at West Texas.

Patient with all my questions, good experience overall

Purchased a 1968 Mercury Cougar XR-7 as a project for my late husband's memory, he always wanted one. Staff was patient with me asking probably a hundred questions over the phone over a 2-month period. The car is solid, exactly the driver-quality vehicle they described. Not flawless but I didn't pay flawless money. Delivery to Louisiana took 8 days, driver was kind and helped me push it into the garage since it wasn't running quite right after the trip (carb needed adjusting after sitting on the trailer, got it sorted in 20 min). Good experience overall.

Found a clean 'Cuda in my budget — couldn't be happier

Honestly didn't think I'd find a clean 'Cuda in my budget but they had one and worked with me on price a little. Shipped to Phoenix in 4 days. The transporter was waiting outside my shop for almost 2 hours because I lost track of time on a job, didn't charge me extra or get attitude about it. Car fired right up off the trailer. Engine bay is gorgeous. Very happy.

Real Americans running a real business

Y'all. The 1955 Chevy 3100 pickup I got from these guys is my pride and joy. Drove down from Oklahoma to pick it up myself, got the full tour of the shop, met the whole team. Real Americans running a real business. No BS, no hidden fees, no last minute "oh by the way" pricing tricks. Truck is perfect. Tell Mike Jimmy says hi.

Sweet 16 gift came through — daughter is obsessed

Got this for my daughter's 16th birthday. Cute little Bug, runs great, paint is original and shows its age but that's the charm. Took about 10 days to get to Oregon which felt long but the driver kept me updated with texts which I appreciated. He waited at our gate for like 30 min while we cleared out the garage, very nice guy. Daughter is obsessed. Only ding is the wiper motor was sluggish, replaced it for , no big deal but worth mentioning.

Second purchase and won't be my last

Second purchase from West Texas. First was a '68 Charger back in 2023, this time it's a Judge tribute. They remembered me, gave me a fair deal, and the car shipped to Michigan in 5 days. Hauler had to wait about an hour in my cul-de-sac because I got stuck at work, never complained once, helped me unload it carefully. These guys do classics RIGHT.

Nice car but the financing process was a headache

Car is nice. The buying process took longer than I expected, lots of back and forth on paperwork because I'm financing through my credit union and they aren't used to classic cars. Not really the dealer's fault but it dragged out almost 3 weeks. Delivery itself was fine, driver was professional. Glad I got the car but the process was stressful.

Great car, minor hiccup but they made it right

Bought a 1970 Cutlass 442 (real one, numbers match). Car is everything they said it was. Knock off one star because the floor mats they said were included weren't in the car when it arrived, minor thing but still. Mike refunded me to buy new ones without me even having to argue about it so honestly almost a 5.

Top notch operation from start to finish

Where do I even start. I've been collecting since 1998 and I have purchased from auction houses, private sellers, and a handful of dealers across the country. West Texas Classic is now at the top of my list. They allowed my mechanic to do a third party PPI before I wired any funds, which most dealers won't do anymore. The car was actually BETTER in person than the photos suggested, which I cannot say about most online purchases. Delivery was scheduled for a Tuesday and the transporter (great guy named Carl) showed up Tuesday morning right on schedule. He even waited about 40 minutes for me to get back from picking up my grandson from school. Top notch operation.

Solid truck, delivery took a bit longer than expected

Truck was as described, paint is solid 8/10 driver quality which is what they told me. Only reason it's not 5 stars — delivery took about a week longer than originally quoted because of weather rerouting through the panhandle. Not really their fault but communication during that gap could have been better. Once it got here though, started right up and I've been driving it every weekend. Would buy from them again.

May 2, 2024

Surprised my husband with a '69 Mustang Fastback for our 25th anniversary. The team at West Texas was incredible to work with — sent me probably 40 photos and a long video walkaround before I committed. He cried when it rolled off the truck lol. Thank you guys.

Finally got my dream Camaro — these guys are the real deal

Bought my dream car from these guys after months of searching. Mike was straight with me about a small oil seep on the rear main and didn't try to hide it. Car arrived to Tampa exactly when they said it would. Hauler driver actually got there 2 hours early and waited in my driveway, real patient guy. Engine sounds like music. Worth every penny.
